Memphis bound...

Some exciting news everyone. After a failed attempt to get back to Graceland in 2020, thanks to that pesky COVID, I'll be off at the end of this month to once again walk the hallways once walked by the King.

To make it even more special, I'm travelling with my son and grandson. We leave Wellington on Thursday 28th August and fly into Houston, Texas via Auckland. We stay one night in Houston before picking up a vehicle then driving to New Orleans. After a couple of nights there we drive up to Tupelo (Elvis's birthplace) for one night, then up to Nashville for 3 nights. We'll make good use of catching some acts from the local music scene.

We're then off to Memphis where we will be staying for 7 nights at the Graceland Guesthouse. Who knows what trouble we'll get up to but without doubt it'll be a blast. After Memphis we'll then drive back down to Houston before flying home on September 14th.

I'm thoroughly looking forward to this trip and will do my best not to annoy my son too much. He has threatened to leave me there, which to be honest, isn't that much of the treat and also seems to have the approval of my wife!!
