What a great day we're having here in Memphis. We spent some time on Beale Street last night and got up and did a few numbers at one of the local karaoke bars. We also had dinner at a restaurant called Marlowes. I'm sure the Elvis gods were looking down on us as when we arrived they sat us at the booth Elvis regularly sat at when he ate there (or do they tell that to all their guest?).
Today was a real highlight though as we toured Sun Studios. We all know this is where Elvis recorded Blue Moon on August 19, 1954. You can tour the studios these days and see what it would have been like for the King laying down his tracks.
